A perpetual licence to use Session Updater for rxdoc files, issued to you as a named person. The software is licensed, not sold; you do not acquire ownership of it. The full licence terms are reproduced below and are shown again in the app before you activate.
The price is £99. No tax is added at checkout: the amount shown is the amount charged.
Delivery is electronic and immediate. Your licence key is displayed on screen as soon as payment clears and is emailed to the address you gave. Nothing is posted to you.
If the key does not reach you, write to us and it will be re-issued. Keys are reproducible from the name they were issued to, so a lost key is never a lost purchase.
If you are a consumer, you ordinarily have 14 days from purchase to cancel for a refund.
Because the licence key is supplied immediately, you are asked to acknowledge at checkout that supply begins straight away and that your 14-day right to cancel ends once it has. This is the statutory position for digital content supplied before the cancellation period expires, and it is why the acknowledgement is taken before payment rather than after.
If you would prefer to keep the cancellation right, do not buy yet. Demo mode is unlimited in time and lets you evaluate everything except writing the finished document.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected: digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund as the law provides.
Beyond that, if something has gone wrong, write to us.
Your key identifies you. Do not share it: anyone holding it can activate the software in your name, and every key carries a reference that identifies the purchase it came from.
This tool is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by iZotope. iZotope and RX are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the software application used to generate rxdoc files. Buying this does not license you to use RX, which you must obtain separately.
The .rxdoc layout this tool relies on was determined solely
by examining session documents saved by the author's own licensed copy of
RX and comparing them against each other, as permitted under sections 50B
and 50BA of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. No decompilation
or disassembly of iZotope's software was involved at any point, and the
tool neither links against nor loads any iZotope code.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

A licence key is issued to a named person, and use is permitted by that person only. There is no device limit: you may install and use it on as many machines as you personally work on, and no activation server is contacted at any point. A licence is not transferable, and the key should not be shared — anyone holding it can activate the software in your name.
If you are a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — including that digital content be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described — which cannot be excluded or restricted. Nothing in this licence affects those rights, and the two paragraphs below apply to you only so far as the law allows.
Subject to the paragraph above, the software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. No guarantee is given that it is free of defects, or that any given document will be processed correctly.
Subject to your statutory rights, the author's total liability arising out of or in connection with this licence is limited to the amount you paid for it. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of anticipated savings. Loss or corruption of your own work is addressed directly below.

Without a licence key the software runs in demo mode: it opens sessions, shows the reconstruction and plays it back, but will not write an updated document. Demo mode is not time-limited and does not expire. Entering a key at any point unlocks writing.
A licence key is required to process a document. The key you enter is checked on this machine and stored, with the name it was issued to, in a single file:
~/Library/Application Support/Session Updater for rxdoc files/license.txt
No other technical protection measure is applied, no personal data is collected, and the software makes no network connection of any kind. Deleting that file returns the software to its unactivated state.
This is precisely why the tool never writes to your source document: every operation produces a new file, so the original survives any result you don't like. Reconstructed edits are approximate by their nature, and it remains your responsibility to audition the output before delivering it.
Nothing in this section limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
This licence and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
